Re-booting procedure.
1. Make sure the cross-over network cable is connected from Host PC to Embedded PC.
2. Start Windows NT Host PC. Log-in and wait for the system to load the desktop. Wait a few minutes after the hour-glass has disappeared. Go to the "C" drive and delete all folders in the "Temp" folder. They should all clear out on the first delete. If they don't then I suspect the "wait" mentioned above was of insufficient duration.
3. Turn on the Embedded PC.
4. Go to "Run" and ping the EPC (ping 64.1.1.2 or ping epc -t) from the Command line of the Host PC.
Four lines indicating communication should appear after 65 seconds, and full communication should be so indicated after 100 seconds.
5. Now start MassLynx. There should be communication to the instrument
To "ping" go to the command line of the Host PC, Start, Menu, Run, type "ping epc -t
Control C will halt the "ping" process.
